PARTNER Executive has been retained to find the founding General Manager of a new Power Solutions division within a Perth-based engineering, manufacturing and site services business. The mandate: enter the WA energy storage market, substations, BESS and stand-alone power systems, with board-level backing, approved budget and a clearly defined strategy. This is a genuine greenfield build, and a career-defining opportunity for the right leader.

The Opportunity:

• Founding leader of a new division: own the P&L from inception, build the team, establish the market presence and deliver the first projects.
• Ride the WA energy transition: a rapidly growing storage market backed by billions in state renewable commitments and active utility procurement programs.
• Leverage a vertically integrated platform, engineering, manufacturing and site services, to deliver turnkey solutions, with sister companies in the group for joint bidding on larger opportunities.
• Your background: 10+ years in power, energy or renewables in Australia, with senior leadership experience and delivery across substation, HV, BESS, SAPS, microgrid or similar distributed energy projects.
• An established WA energy sector network is essential, utilities, Tier 1 miners or IPPs.
• Suited to an entrepreneurial, hands-on builder: someone willing to write the first bid, visit the first site and commission the first unit, then scale the team around them.
